Easter Musings

What if everything in your life right now was orchastrated by God?
Your social circle, your family situation - the person you open up to most, that friend you enjoy life with, the partner who knows you most intimately - what if God orchastrated it all to be just. exactly. that. ? You are not lacking anything that you do not have.
What kind of fredom would that liberate you to?

What if you understood power and authority?
That nothing in this earth, seen or unseen, could hold any power over your thought life, your behaviours, your health, wealth, friendships .. what if you were free from the blockages, bondages and were simply, free... ? What would your life look like?

What if you were free from Insecurity? You could be yourself without any inhibition and confidently expressed your 'uniqueness', knowing that it was a valued and necessary offering to your world.

What if you were free from Idolatry? You could be free from the vain, expensive, exhausting persuit of  bowing down and conforming to the female image upheld as a God for all females to aspire to in the Western world. Just think of the meals you could enjoy, the money you would save on magazines, recepies, doctors bills... think of the freedom.

What if you were free from the sins that held you in captivity yesterday? You had no more guilt, shame, regret, cringe, sadness. What if somebody had chosen the option wished you had of.
What if their option was credited to you in reality, and you now had nothing to be held against you. What if this lock-and-key fit was grace credited to you, and you were now free?
What would that joy look like.

What if the very thing that you ache most for was God's way of revealing to us how all satisfying he really is. What if everything you have, everything you are, everything you do and everything you suffer could be offered up as a gift for him to use and make something beautiful for. How would that transform your sense of purpose.

What if we allowed our hearts to be stirred by a noble theme, higher than the civillian concerns and affairs of this world? How would that re-prioritse our schedules, our activities.

As the Easter weekend comes to a close, I would encourage you to ponder the love of God that He would send his son Jesus out of heaven to come and reside in this sick and broken world, only to die for the sins of this world....That is, before he rose again, having defeated all the powers and principalities of this world and ascending into heaven again. In His glorious grace and mercy, we now have the opportunity to live in the fullness of what Christ's death means; we too, can now die to our fallen human nature, be raised up with Christ and have a victorious life in Christ Jesus over every evil.

We now have the mandate to share this good news with others and help bring the glorious Kingdom of God to our worlds .. but first we stop to consider...how can we personally live and walk in the fullness of it so to offer it to others?

Jude 2.4
"To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy - to the only God our saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority throguh Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forever more! Amen.'

Happy Easter!
