so young, so defenseless.
so impressionable, so vulnerable.

she couldn't look after you,
i know it seems she didn't love you more than him.

they accepted your sisters but said they couldn't handle you,
i know it seems you have been rejected.

the new family couldn't cope with your behaviour,
i know you think you must be too hard to look after.

your current family has had unforseen circumstances,
i know it seems your nobody's priority.

but oh dear child, to me
you are loved. you are accepted. you are wonderful. you are of utmost importance.

did you know that your my favourite thing about mondays?
do you know that i love watching your wacky dance moves,
you are so talented at cricket, and
i really enjoy being around your endless energy.
did you know that i have advocated for your rights and needs?
did you know that you've never been too much trouble for me?

tell me, dear child
what have you been up to on the weekend? who came to your birthday party?
you had your christmas concert at school last week, where did you stand on stage?
keep telling me, little one
what new songs do you want on our cd? it's a delight to sing along with you.

do you know, dear child that i pray for you every day?
do you know that you are one of my main work concerns?

oh little one, i know that today was a dark day,
another day where your rug was ripped out from under you.
but dear one, hold on to that light inside of you
gaurd that precious innocence that radiates from your heart.
keep smiling little one and show me your action cards.
i want to know who you've traded with and which ones you need to get next.

i know it doesn't seem fair
i can't tell you why God allowed you to experience these things
i don't know why you were given the opportunity to rise from these ashes
and i wasn't.

i do know, though, that God must have alot of faith in you
by entrusting you to this kind of life.
what does that say about you, little one?
let me tell you
you are bold, strong and couragous.
God wouldn't have given you this strory if he didn't make you for it. 

always remember, little one,
there was someone who was also rejected and forgotten and abandoned.
He has been alongside you this entire time.
you know him already, you remember telling me that?
well i pray that you'd know him more deeply through these times.

my little pilgrim friend,
he is enough for you, so cleave to Him.
He has heard my prayers, so know that he'll take care of you when i'm gone.

don't ever listen to the lies this world has and will try to convince you with.
you are precious and strong and bold and couragous.
you will get through this.
the glorious King of heaven is now watching over you
and His angels will gaurd all your ways.
